Recorded at the ”Kings & Queens”, Providence, Rhode Island, December 7, 1963 The wonderful Ben Webster Session gives us an insight into the most productive and yet turbulent period of his life. Also the accompanying trio is perfect for Ben and must have been one of the first recordings to feature the young Michael Renzi, grown today into a piano giant of whom Ben, in the tradition, would very much have approved – no doubt he did then.
